      How the FPS estimates work

      • Based on real requirements. Your graphics card and processor are compared with each game's minimum and recommended requirements – for your resolution, quality and upscaling.
      • A carefully built calculation model. It weighs graphics and processor performance, video memory, RAM speed, resolution scaling, CPU limits, upscaling and each game's own frame cap – not just a simple "better or worse" comparison.
      • Checked against 628 review benchmarks. Measurements from hardware reviews of 51 popular games keep the model honest; where review data exists, the game is calibrated to it.
      • Cross-checked by real players. FPS measured by real people on many different PC configurations are compared with the estimates and fine-tune them over time. You can report yours in any game's details.
      • Honest about certainty. Every number has a confidence rating – click it to see what it's based on.

      A guide, not a guarantee: drivers, game patches, ray tracing, frame caps and background apps can shift real FPS by 15–25 % or more.

      "Borderline" means within about 20 % of a requirement; "Likely" means nothing fails but part of the requirement was too vague to check exactly. Player counts are live from Steam, Steam Deck status comes from Steam, Linux ratings from ProtonDB, anti-cheat data from AreWeAntiCheatYet. Community ratings come from signed-in Steam users, one per account and game. This site counts page visits and feature use anonymously – no cookies, no IP addresses, no Steam IDs – and respects Do Not Track. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve or Steam.

      • Your games, playtime, wishlist and friends: the official Steam Web API.
      • Players right now: live from the Steam Web API.
      • System requirements: the game's Steam store page. If Steam doesn't answer, from PCGamingWiki. If a game lists no requirements at all, they are estimated from its release year and tags and marked "est.".
      • Tags, Steam user reviews and Steam Deck status: Steam's store service.
      • Linux / Steam Deck ratings: ProtonDB. Anti-cheat on Linux: AreWeAntiCheatYet.
      • Graphics card and processor performance: this site's own table of relative performance scores for about 300 GPUs and all common CPU families, based on public benchmark rankings and reviews.
      • Estimated FPS: calculated here – your GPU and CPU compared with the game's minimum and recommended parts, then adjusted for resolution, quality and upscaling, and checked against publishers' own performance targets. There is no live benchmark behind it.
      • PC builder prices: rough street-price estimates, not live store prices.
